Is Draw-Tite Class III Hitch 75784 Compatible with anti-rattle # 63232
Question:
Looking at Drawtight #75784 for my 2017 Acura RDX. Want to use it to avoid straps required by Curtis hitch. However, I already own a 1-1/4 bike rack. So Im also looking at getting HT02 adapter. Have read that it fits loose and rattles. If the #75784 is compatible with the Anti-rattle pin #63232, this should solve the rattle problem. I cant find anything about that. Is the #75784 compatible?

Expert Reply:
Draw-Tite Hitch # 75784 is a confirmed fit on your 2017 Acura RDX and this hitch is indeed compatible with the locking stabilizer # 63232. This will work along with Reducer Sleeve # HT02 to allow your 1-1/4-inch bike rack to be installed in this 2-inch hitch.
The # 63232 will stabilize the reducer in the hitch tube but it will not do anything for the potential rattle of the bike rack's 1-1/4-inch shank in the reducer's opening. You may care to use a secondary anti-rattle device like one of those shown on the linked page, such as # RM-061-125, to secure the bike rack in the reducer.
Any time additional components are added to a hitch - reducers, extenders, adapters - they will tend to allow for more motion and noise when in use.
