Solution for Adding Ground Clearance to Sail Boat on Boat Trailer
Question:
To add a few inches of rear ground clearance to my sailboat while it’s on it’s boat trailer to prevent rudders from scraping boat ramp, I’d like to replace the rear 2x4 bunks with bigger bunks to make the rear of the boat set higher. Would you recommend what size bunks I should use? Thanks

In order to provide more ground clearance for your sailboat while it's resting on the boat trailer bunks, I recommend replacing the bunk brackets with longer ones so they are positioned higher from the trailer frame. We do not have any bunk boards available that will give you added ground clearance on top of what your existing 2 x 4 boards provide.
I have attached a link that will take you to our available selection of brackets that you can look through. You can use the facets on the left side of the page to filter through the different sized options.
For example, the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies # CE10001G-4 feature an overall height of 11 inches, with mounting slots that allow for as much as 3-3/4 inches of height adjustment during installation. 4 bracket assemblies are included.
I have attached a short video dmeonstration on this bracket that you can also take a look at.
