Brake Controller and 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter for 1997 Toyota 4Runner
Question:
I need to install a brake controller and 7 blade socket on a 1997 4Runner that has a 4 flat trailer connector. I was hoping to use the TK90160 controller. Will this work and what other components and wires do I need for the installation. I watched your Tacoma video and it seems fairly straight forward. Thanks.

The correct adapter you need to convert the 4-way of your 1997 Toyota 4Runer to a 7-way and install a brake controller is the part # ETBC7. This comes with everything you need except for the brake controller. Which the Primus IQ part # TK90160 would be an excellent choice and would work well with this kit too. The install is very straightforward as well. I attached a link to the install instructions for the # ETBC7 down below as well.
