Recommended Hitch and Extender for Towing Travel Trailer with Extension
Question:
Hello, I have a 2013 F-150 w/ a standard 2inch receiver. I have a 28foot travel trailer that I tow using the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control setup EQ37120ET. I now have a need to haul an ATV 990 lbs in the bed of the truck w/ the tailgate down. Is there a safe extender to use with this system knowing that I will be reducing the TW capacity? I see similar questions have been asked but I was just curious if my specific setup would be any different? Thank you!

For your 2013 Ford F-150, the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37120ET can be used but you would first need to get the TorkLift SuperHitch Hero Trailer Hitch Receiver # TLF1005H and the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension - 24 inch # TLE1524 or # TLE1528 for 28 inch extension.
This combination is really the only way to safely tow your trailer with the extension you need for your tailgate being down while towing.
