How to Use Thule AeroBlade Load Bars on a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Without E-Group Package

Question:

Hi I purchased a Thule ARB60 roof rails through here but purchased a fit kit which is the Thule 3142 and Thule Th460r through someone else which is the wrong kit would it be safe for me to cut the bottom of the roof racks to make the kit work it would roughly be 1.5inches which would add up to .750 per side to make it even.

I do have the correct parts for you to attach the Thule Wingbar Load Bars part # TH711500 to your 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee but I cannot recommend you modify or alter the mounting feet or fit kit as this would void the system's warranty in addition to limiting its capacity.

In order to use the AeroBlade crossbars you will need to use the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof-Rack Foot Pack part # TH480R and the Thule Roof Rack Fit Kit for Traverse Foot Packs part # THKIT1656. The kit you have now is for models with the E-Group package whereas this system is for models without the E-Group package.
