Grease Seal with ID of 2.13 Needed for Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K

Hello, I am looking at replacing the dust shield out on my boat trailer. I am looking the Item # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K drums and the Item # AKFBBRK-7-D set. The inner measurement on my axle is not the 2.25 but 2.13. I have measured multiple times and it comes out the same. The axle surface is not worn or damaged and is smooth still but with the 2.13 measurement. Any other seal I can replace it with?

Yes! The seals that are included with our hub and drum assemblies, like the part # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K you referenced, come with grease seals that are compatible with the most popular spindles, but that doesn't mean they fit all spindles. You simply need to purchase grease seals that have an OD (outer diameter) of 3.376" and an ID (inner diameter) that is closer to your 2.13 measurement.

If you order the 10-10 grease seals, part # RG06-090 which comes with 2, they will work great for your application. They have an OD of 3.376" and an ID of 2.125" which is slightly smaller than what you are measuring. These will work great with the assemblies mentioned above.

The Hydraulic Brake Kit # AKFBBRK-7-D that you referenced is also a great pick and are compatible with the hub and drum assemblies that you are purchasing.
