Can Kuat Sherpa Bike Rack be Used on 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon

Question:

Im interested in a Kuat sherpa and Drawtite hitch for my 2016 Subaru Outback. Ive read that the hitch sits back some from the bumper. Do you know if this causes an issue with the Kuat fit? Thank you.

The Kuat Sherpa part # SH22G has 11 inches from the center of it's hitch pin hole to the nearest portion of the bike rack. That would be more than enough clearance to to clear the bumper with a hitch installed.

My favorite hitch to recommend will be the Draw Tite part # 76227 for your 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon. This hitch only has the hitch opening visible from behind the vehicle, is a 2 inch hitch which is the preferred size, and unlike the Curt equivalent it does not require the use of a stabilizer strap when carrying a non-supported load like a bike rack.
