Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2018 Ford F-250 Short Bed Towing Tapered Nose Trailer
Question:
I have a 2017 prime time mfg crusader fifth wheel with a super turn front cap. States in their literature I do not need a slider hitch. Level to pinbox is right at 52in ground to bed of truck is right at 39inches. Will this hitch work for me? Thanks

Since you have a fifth wheel trailer designed for short bed clearance you do not need a slider hitch! You can use a fixed hitch which will be a bit lighter weight, less movement/chucking while towing, and will allow you to not have to get out and operate the slider mechanism every time you get into a parking lot.
The Curt E16 hitch part # C16115 will work in the bed of your 2018 Ford F-250 short bed without the factory rail kit, and I know it has a very attractive price, but for a similar Curt hitch that will give you a much nicer towing experience I would recommend the Curt A16 # C16120 which has a jaw design that holds the king pin much tighter which will minimize movement and noise when towing.
Since you'll need a rail kit to install the hitch the B&W custom kit part # BWRVK2402 would be what I recommend. Custom install kits install much quicker, easier, and require less drilling.
