Replacement Travel Trailer Axle For Square Drop Axle

Question:

I have a 1.5 in square 4 in axle on my vintage travel trailer. One of the spindles is gouged from the wheel bearing. I am looking for a replacement for it and replacement leaf springs. The springs measure out at 26.25 in. The axle measured 89.5 from hub to hub on the old hubs for the electric brakes. The spring to spring measurement is 54.5 inches. If there is a way to get a more accurate measurement of the axle length overall with the electric brakes removed i can get that as well. Thanks

Thanks for the picture. The square axle you have also has a drop to it. Based on spring to spring measurement and the drop needed, we only have one good option for your axle, but it will include the electric brakes and the suspension you need so the leaf springs will be replaced with another option.

For your application, I recommend either the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System w Electric Brake Hubs - 4" Drop Spindle - 3,500 lbs # A35RD545E or the straight spindle # A35RS545E if you don't need the drop in trailer height. These axles mount directly to your trailer frame and will bolt right up. You will need a 2 inch square tube (not included) cut to length for the integrated holes in the assemblies. I've attached a video to assist.
