i need a 3 or 4 inch hitch extender for my jeep to get a cargo carrier past a large tire. 6 and 8 inches are too long. can you help

The shortest hitch extender we have is the Hitch Extender For 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # HE06 which will measure 7-3/8 inches from hitch pin hole to hitch pin hole. This will also reduce the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50% so your cargo load will be limited. This is a common option for spare tire clearance on Jeeps and other makes with the rear mounted spare.

We may have different trailer hitch options available that have more clearance depending on your Jeep's year/model. We also have many cargo carrier options that may be a better fit based on the shank length of the carrier so an adapter may not be necessary. I've linked the page to assist.
