Installing the Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN TK63VR on a 2017 Chevy Express Van
Question:
What is the wiring code for the controller. The van 2017 chevy with the harness under dash factory installed is labeled. And do I need to go into the fuse panel under the dash and connect a wire?

The Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN # TK63VR is wired as follows:
Blue - 7-Way Output to Trailer
Black - 12V Power
White - Ground
Red - COLD Side of Stop Light Switch (only gets hot when brake pedal is pressed)
Some models of the 2017 Chevrolet Express Van require the Wiring Kit # 5506 to and/or part # 30955 for a complete installation but it is just a hit and miss as to what is already done. You can simply use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to verify if all the connections are already made.
