Troubleshooting Landing Gear on Fuzion Toy Hauler That Will No Longer Lift Trailer

Question:

2010 Fuzion 383 Toy Hauler Landing gear My landing gear has hard time lifting trailer, and finally stopped, sounds like dead batteries but they are new. Landing gear and motor flop around, is that normal?

It sounds like the landing gear on your Fuzion Toy Hauler may have been overextended, which likely caused damage to the internal gears and screw. This "flopping" that you mentioned is essentially the unit trying to extend but since the internal components have been compromised, it is unable to operate properly, which is producing that extensive vibration and shaking on the leg and motor.

Your best option at this point is likely to replace the entire system. I recommend taking a look at the Stromberg Carlson Electric Landing Gear Set # LG-4. This is a really nice system that will provide you with 34-7/8 inches of total lift and a combined weight capacity of 6,500 pounds, which is more than enough for the weight of your toy hauler. To determine if this will fit the brackets already welded to your trailer, you will just want to take a quick measurement between the brackets. The distance between the top and bottom brackets for the legs on this system is 19-1/2 inches.

I have attached an image with this and some additional measurements labeled, along with a short video demonstration that you can check out.
