Replacement Follower Leg Recommendation for Landing Gear on Forest River RV

I am trying to find the quickest way to get a replacement follow leg left side.

I have attached a link to our selection of follow landing gear legs for you to filter through. You will want to replace your current landing gear leg with an exact replacement to avoid any differences in gear ratio which would result in an uneven trailer leveling system.

Since Lippert is one of the leading manufacturers when it comes to trailer parts it is very likely that you will need the Lippert Replacement 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear Follow Leg # LC179014 which is rated for 4,000 lbs, has an overall height of 32" with 2-1/2" of width.

The distance outside to outside of the weld stops is 17-1/2" while the distance is 15-1/2" inside to inside. I have attached a picture to help clarify where you will want to measure to help you determine if it is an exact replacement.

If you know the manufacturer of your landing gear and you can find a part number then that would make finding the replacement follow leg much easier.

If you cannot find any information then it may be a bit more safe to replace your whole landing gear setup to ensure that the legs operate at the same speed with their gear ratios.
