Hitch and 42 inch Hitch Extender Recommendation for 2005 Ford F-350

Question:

i need a hitch extension of probably 42 inches when carrying my pickup camper, which extends 36 inches beyond my existing receiver. but the stock receiver is solid 2-inch. in other words it does not have a sleeve that slips out to convert the receiver to 2 1/2 inches. any recommendations?

I have an option... but I'll warn you it's kind of pricey. Since you have a 2 inch hitch currently there's no way to extend out the hitch 42 inches as there isn't an adapter for that. Instead you'll have to install the Torklift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch # TLF1002.

Then for a 42 inch long extension that will work with this hitch you'll need the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension # TLE1542. This will give you exactly what you are looking for and it's the only option we have.
