Base Rails Needed for a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500

Question:

Is the RP58386 the correct part to mount the rails to a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Club Cab 4 Dr with a 8 foot bed?If not could you please tell me which part I need.

The Reese Installation Kit # RP58386 that you referenced is for 2009 - present Dodge Ram 1500s and will unfortunately not fit your 2001 Ram 2500.

For your 2500 there are only universal options available. This means that the correct base rail kit for your pickup is the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit # RP30035. The kit includes industry standard base rails so as long as that is what your 5th wheel hitch mounts to you are good to go.

I also recommend installing a 7-Way in the bed of your pickup. You can do this using Curt # C56071. This provides you with an easily accessible 7-Way for your 5th wheel trailer.
