Troubleshooting Trailer Tire Wear
Question:
I picked up a Cobalt Pop Up Camper. It comes with 205/65 10 rated C load star tires on 5 bolt rims. We chewed through the tires pretty quickly. Will the E rated work better or do you recommend upgrading the wheels and tires? Thanks!

Tire wear isn't typically caused by insufficient weight capacity of the tire. What type of wear are you seeing on the tire? It might be that you have an alignment or suspension issue that's causing the problems. I'd hate to recommend a bigger tire only two have one of the issues mentioned cause the same damage to your tire size 205/65-10 like the # AM1HP56.
I'd also recommend you verify that you had the tires inflated to their max psi listed on the tire sidewall as well.
