How to Install a Brake Controller and 7-Way Wiring Harness on a 2014 Nissan Murano
Question:
Good morning. We are purchasing a 2104 16foot Casita travel trailer, but have no idea what towing electrical cables/connectors/ brake setup we need. Can we get some guidance and links to your products to cover this? Thank you!

In order to tow a 2014 Casita travel trailer with your 2014 Nissan Murano you are going to need a 4-way wiring harness, 4 to 7-way wiring harness, and a brake controller. For the 4-way harness I recommend using the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118653. This is a complete plug and play option that is a confirmed fit for you so long as you do not have the CrossCabriolet edition.
For the 4 to 7-way wiring harness I recommend the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7 which will require you to cut and splice wires but it is the only option we have for you. This kit also come with everything else you need to install a brake controller such as the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885.
The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 is one of our most popular brake controllers due to its integrated safeguards and continuous diagnostic checks. If you need help with installation you can take a look at the install video I have attached for you on a similar year Nissan Murano.
