Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2011 Mazda 3 Grand Touring with LED Tail Lights

Question:

Looking for the correct tow wiring harness for my 2011 Mazda 3 S Grand Touring. I am pretty sure mine has LED taillights. I picked up a Curt T-COnnector setup #56011 and in some places it says it is compatible and on the packaging it says not compatible with my exact vehicle. If it is not correct, what is the exact one I need to purchase? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I do have a solution for you, however if your 2011 Mazda 3 is equipped with the LED tail lights, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56011 that you referenced will not be compatible.

For your Grand Touring model that has the LED lights, I instead recommend the Hopkins Wiring Kit # 119179KIT. This is a universal, hardwire kit that features integrated circuit and overload protection to safeguard itself and your vehicle from electrical shorts. There is not a custom harness available for your particular model Mazda 3, but this will work perfectly to provide you with a 4-Way connector to power your trailer's signal lights.
