Can Air Conditioning on 2018 Kia Niro be Used to Keep Rightline Gear SUV Tent # RL110907 Cool

Question:

Can I run the air conditioning on a 2018 hero Niro hybrid plug in without using any gas? I want to run cool air without any exhaust going into the tent.

Most vehicles will still allow you to run your air with the key in the ACC position but without your 2018 Kia Niro running there is no way to know how long the air will stay cool plus it will run your battery down. Since the Rightline Gear SUV Tent # RL110907 doesn't really have insulation I am not sure how effective it would be either.

You could potentially use a fan like part # FV01100WH or part # SP571204 to help keep your tent cool instead. If you bring a different battery you can draw power from it using the Battery Adapter # RM-9332. The Extension Cord # FV8608-09 could be used to draw power from the 12V accessory outlet in your Niro but you would run into the same battery problem.
