Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2016 Kia Sorento To Carry Mobility Scooter

I have a 2016 Kia Sorento with the four cylinder turbo charged engine. I need to put a hitch on the vehicle to carry a lift for a mobility scooter. I am getting a lot of conflicting information regarding the tongue weight capacity for the vehicle. Is your hitch capable of carrying a lift device and mobility scooter?

Your 2016 Kia Sorento turbo will have either a 5,000 lb towing capacity if it's an AWD model or a 3,500 lb towing capacity if it's FWD. So either you'll have a 500 lb tongue weight rating or a 350 lb tongue weight rating but you'll need to verify this in your owners manul.

Then for a hitch with a similar tongue weight rating we have the Draw Tite # 75908 which has a 500 lb tongue weight rating. This hitch is the one I recommend over the similar Curt as it does not require a stabilizer strap when carrying a non-supported load like a carrier like the Curt does.
