Diagnosing a N.C and C Code for a P2 Brake Controller on a 2007 GMC Sierra
Question:
When I installed my P2 prodigy brake controller with the 2002 GMC cable the nc light comes on, but when I plug in the trailer I never get the C. The controller worked on my Tacoma just fine. The 2500 Duramax I have has a 7-way bargman both in the bed and the bumper has the GM label. Is there a fuse or a wire I need to connect to get the controller to work?

It sounds like somehow your Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885 got put into electric over hydraulic mode based on the codes you are seeing.
To change over to regular electric brake mode you will need to start by pressing the Boost Button for 5 seconds while the brake pedal is pressed until (.r) displayed. While continuing to have the brake pedal pressed, momentarily release the Boost Button for less than one second and then press and continue to hold the boost button down for an additional 5 seconds.
The display will now change from the boost value to a flashing (E.H) or (E.). Depress and release Boost repeatedly to select the desired mode.
Engage the Manual Knob to accept the mode, or wait 10 seconds for the function to automatically
time out and accept the mode. The mode selected will be stored in memory even when disconnected.
When in Electric over Hydraulic mode, the display will change to (.C) and (n.C).
I attached installation instructions for this product for you to check out also.
