Trailer Hitch, Wiring and Ball Mount Recommendation for 2016 Honda Civic Sedan
Question:
Hi! I have a Civic Seden 2016 with the Curt c92UR. I would like to buy a ball mount and a wiring kit. I saw a few QandR where you have suggested the 119179KIT or 118724 or 118686 but honestly, i dont see where is the difference and what i should look at to make my choice. For the drawbar, i saw you have suggested 3593 or C45521. Again, i dont know what i have to check. I see that they dont have the same and long. What is the right height from the ground to the ball i should buy? Thank you for your expertise! alex

For your 2016 Honda Civic sedan the recommended trailer wiring harness is the Tekonsha kit part # 118686 which is a confirmed custom fit. This brand of wiring kit is the most reliable so it is hands down the best option.
Now with Class I hitches like the Curt part # C92UR that you referenced you have to go with the ball mount the manufacturer recommends. So that means you'd need the # C45521 that you referenced. Then for hitch balls you'd want part # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or part # 19258 for a 2 inch ball.
