Question:
im planning on installing hitch #75579 on a 2008 town and country, the clearance from pin hole to the end of the hitch is 7 inches. what is the length of swagman from pinhole to the tilt at 90 degrees? will the hidden hitch accommodate the swagman? thanks...

To determine if you will have clearance for the Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack # S64665 on your 2008 Chrysler Town and Country, you will need to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole, to the edge of the rear bumper.
When the Swagman XTC4 is folded-up at 90 degrees, there is 3 inches of clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the bike rack. If the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the rear bumper is less than 3 inches, you will be able to fold the XTC4 up.
When the XTC4 is not folded-up, the distance from the closest wheel hoop to the center of the hitch pin hole measures 12-3/4 inches.
Since you do not have the hitch installed on your vehicle, I would recommend installing the hitch and measuring the clearance from the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper before choosing a bike rack.
The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75579 will work with the Swagman XTC4, since it is a 2 inch hitch. You will want to make sure not to exceed the tongue weight capacity of the hitch or the vehicle as stated in the vehicle owners manual. The weigh of the bike rack, plus the weight of the bikes is considered tongue weight.
I have linked instructions and a video review of the Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack, part # S64665. Also linked are instructions, a video installation of the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75579, and an FAQ on trailer hitch installation tips.
