What is the Best Height Setting for a 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch
Question:
I have a 16 chevy shortbox. Which bolt holes do I use for the height ? There are 4 sets which one is recommended? thanks

On a 5th wheel hitch such as # RP30051 the height you will need will depend on a couple of things. First, you want to tow the trailer level so if you hook up to the trailer and it is riding nose high or nose down then you will need to adjust the height setting.
Also you will need about 5 or 6 inches of space between the tops of the bed sides and the bottom of the 5th wheel trailer overhang.
Keep in mind that in many cases you can also adjust the height of the pin box on the trailer by unbolting it from the wings it is attached to and moving up or down to the next set of holes.
