How to Install Prodigy RF Brake Controller in 2016 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk w/4-Way
Question:
My Renegade came with the factory tow package that uses a 4 pin connection. I want to buy a pop-up trailer that uses a 7 pin connection. I want to connect the two for lights etc. but would also like to use the trailer breaks. Ive read that the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller works well with the renegade, but I dont know how it is connected because it requires a 7 pin connection. Can you let me know what all i need to do to set up everything correctly? Thanks,

You can use a 4-way to 7-way adapter like the part # 37185 to install a Prodigy RF part # TK27FR but you have to connect the black wire of the # 37185 up to the positive post of the vehicle battery through a circuit breaker like part # 9510.
Once you do that the RF will be active and ready to go. No other wires would be needed to be ran.
