Electric A-Frame Jack Lowers but will Not Lift Trailer
Question:
Im on a trip. My jack will go down but wont lift. I think it might be the switch. Im manually lifting. If the motor is shot Ill replace the jack. Is the Lippert a good jack? I have a 2014 Surveyor Cadet 21 ft.

The first thing to check with an electric jack is the battery. If the battery doesn't have enough charge or has gone bad then the jack will struggle. It is easier for it to lower because gravity is helping out. When raising the trailer though it requires more power. You could take the battery to an auto parts store to have it tested. If the battery is fine then it could be an internal problem such as a switch or the motor.
If you do choose to replace your jack then the Lippert jack # LC285318 is great option.
