Tow Bar Diodes for 2015 GMC Terrain with Sockets and Umbilical Adapter Present
Question:
Good Morning, I will be flat towing a 2015 GMC Terrain 2WD V6 behind a motorhome. I already have the Blue OX Aventa Tow Bars, the removable brake buddy system, and safety cables. I am planning on purchasing the blue ox base plates, and have a question about which additional wiring would be best. The tow bars I bought used and they came with the coiled 6 wire. As well it included a 6 wire plug, which has a flat 4 wire end. 1. Which kit would you suggest buying for the brake lights? 2. Can they attached to the current wiring I have? Also my motorhome home has 2 plus. A Standard 7 way, and a round 4 way. 1. Would it be best to buy a new plug, or simply get an adapter for the motorhome. so I can still use the coiled 6 way I have included pictures of the wiring and plugs. Thank You,

Based on your pictures it looks like your tow vehicle has a 7-way pin style connector and the wiring you currently have is a coiled 6-way round to 4-way round. Also looks like you have a socket already that could be wired as well. The 7-way round style connector that you have is not a standard RV style blade 7-way.
There's no easy way to use what you have since the sockets your RV has aren't standard so your best option would be to replace or add a 6-way round socket like # HM48420 so that your coiled wire can fit it on the 6-way side and then plug into the 4-way round socket in your other picture.
Then you'd use diodes like part # RM-790 to tap into the taillight circuits of your 2015 GMC terrain to run the 4-way wiring of your current socket to.
