Husky Centerline Weight Distribution System For 7 by 14 Cargo Trailer

Question:

Hello, I am looking at the HUSKY #32218 • CENTER LINE TS hitch. I am just towing a 7x14 haulmark cargo trailer with a 2012 Expedition for now. I was wondering if this hitch would be okay to use with this setup? I took some measurements on my trailer and the brackets for the bars should fit just fine. Any advice would be appreciated.

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.

The tongue weight range of the Husky weight distribution system part # HT32218 is 800-1,200 lbs. If the tongue weight of your trailer falls in that range this would work well but I would imagine it's lower than that.

We have the part # HT32216 which has a range of 400 to 600 lbs which might be closer to what you'd need.
