I would like to have buy a Thule Camber hitch bike rack, but my two bikes weigh 40 pounds each. I will also need two adapters. What do you recommend for 2016 Jeep Cherokee?

There is a hanging hitch bike rack that will work for you, though with a pair of 40 lb bikes the Thule Camber # TH9058 does not have enough capacity.

Instead, I strongly recommend checking out the Kuat Beta # B202-2, which has a 40 lb per bike capacity and fits your 2016 Jeep Cherokee's 2" hitch. It comes with an anti-rattle device that only requires you to turn a knob, and it only weighs 12.6 lbs, making it extremely easy to handle, especially compared to some of the platform racks that can weigh in the range of 50 lbs.

You will also need adapter bars, the Kuat Ubar Bike Frame Adapter Bar # UB01.
