Recommended Trailer Jack for an EZ Loader Boat Trailer with Aluminum I-Beam Frame

Question:

i would like to install a trailer jack on a 3 x 5 I-Beam Aluminium trailer EZ Loader. I prefer it to be on the I-Beam frame near the front so I can install my swing tongue. My questions are 1 is it ok to install a jack on aluminum I-Beam frame of the trailer 2 if yes which jack do you recommend . The dry weight of my boat is 2200 lbs and trailer weights 650 lbs I believe? THanks

Yes, you can install a trailer jack on your EZ loader boat trailer with an aluminum 3" x 5" I-beam frame. However, you will want to use a bolt-on jack like the Fulton Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Marine Jack part # FTJ12000101 as a weld-on jack would require a plate to be welded flush to the frame for an attachment point.

The Fulton jack will be an excellent option for you. It is designed especially for 3" x 5" trailer frames and has a zinc coating which will do a great job of protecting the jack from rust/corrosion. This jack has a swivel design, offers 10" of lift and has a 1,200 lb weight capacity. It even comes with a 3-year warranty.

I have attached an install/review video of the above jack for you.
