Recommended Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2018 GMC Sierra 2500HD With 6-1/2 Bed

Question:

Im getting ready to purchase a 2018 GM2500 HD Denali 6 1/2foot bed to pull a 5th wheel. I dont have either the truck or the 5th wheel yet. Should I get the GM Factory hitch or just get the Reese hitch? What are the pros and cons of each. I definitely want the under bed hitch. As far as the 5th wheel Im looking at the Alpine or the Montana 34foot 5th wheel. Do I need a sliding hitch for this one or can I get a standard hitch? Thanks

First, you are going to need a sliding hitch for the 6-1/2 foot bed on your 2018 GMC Sierra 2500. And I would highly recommend an aftermarket hitch which is very high quality at a better price. It is a very good idea to get the factory underbed rail kit like you mentioned.
