Will the DEF Tank Need to be Removed When Installing the Curt Hitch on a 2011+ Jeep Grand Cherokee

Do you have video showing hitch procedure for jeep grand cherokee diesel years 2013-2016. Thanks. I bought the hitch model e13182 from you and in order install the hitch I think I have to remove DEF tank. Thank you

I was able to find the information you are looking for but we don't currently have an install video of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13182 on a 2011+ Jeep Grand Cherokee with the diesel engine. In order to install this hitch on a model with the diesel engine, you will need to indeed "lower" the DEF tank down and out of the way. I have attached a photo that explains this in the installation manual.

Please keep in mind that you will want to clean the weld nuts in the frame with a brush like part # 814092 prior to torquing down the fasteners. This will ensure that they go in smoothly and do not cross thread.
