Can the Cigarette Lighter Outlet Be Used to Power a Taillight Converter Box

Hi, any way to connect the lead wire to the cigarette lighter, intead of going through to the battery? Thanks,

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118573 which is a confirmed fit for a 2014 Subaru Impreza (excluding WRX and WRX STi) will need to draw power directly from the battery. The 12 volt outlet in the vehicle is not recommended to be used to power the converter box on the taillight harness.
