How Does Reese Custom Install Kit RP56017-53 Install on a 2017 Ford F-350 Dually 4x4
Question:
Do you use the existing 4 holes in the bed to mount the rail or does this kit require you to drill into the bed? Also, do you drill into the frame rails or does this kit utilize existing holes in the frame? What is the part number for the wiring connector package? Does it include the T and box to mount into the preexisting spot in the bed? Thanks for the help!

If your truck has the 4 holes/pucks in the bed then you have the factory 5th wheel prep package in your 2017 Ford F-350 and would not need to install a rail kit. If you take a look at the video I have linked and fast forward to about the 4:40 mark you can see our installer talking about the factory prep kit.
If you do have the factory prep package then there are 5th wheel hitches that fit directly in it such as # BWRVK3300 which is the hitch shown in the video I mentioned.
If you have the prep package but already have a hitch that fits in above the bed rails then you would need to use adapter # RP30156.
And if you have the prep package but want to install regular above the bed rails then the factory system would first have to be removed from the truck before you could install kit # RP56017-53.
Installation kit # RP56017-53 does not require drilling into the truck frame for installation. It does use holes already present in the frame. I have included a link to the installation instructions for this kit so you can see the install process as well as the parts included.
