Do Spring Bars Need Be Removed While Turning in Reverse with Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System
Question:
I have a Fastway E2 WE hitch. Do I need to remove the round bars before making a sharp turn as I back my trailer into my driveway?

Yes, you will need to disengage the spring bars on your Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System like part # FA94-00-1000 if you will be making any tight turns while in reverse. This will ensure you do not put too much tension on the bars which could cause them to break. You can disengage them by simply removing the L-pins that hold the spring bars to the frame brackets.

I have the same setup and question as above. To clarify from the response, can I simply remove the L-pins and let the spring bars drop off as I backup? Or should I jack the hitch up to release the pressure and then remove them?
