I do have an option for you but the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider part # RP30051 will not allow for enough turning clearance on your 2017 Ram 1500 because you have the 5-1/2' bed. Instead, you will want to use a fixed 5th wheel hitch and a Sidewinder pin box. You will also need the Sidewinder to allow for clearance between the nose of your trailer and RamBoxes.
For this, I recommend the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30047 with the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit part # RP50142-58. This hitch has a 16,000 lb towing capacity and it comes with a 10 year warranty. The base rails are a custom fit which means there will not be any drilling into the frame required for installation.
In order to recommend the correct Sidewinder to make this setup work, I would need to know the make and model of the pin box you currently have on your trailer. Once you can provide this for me, I would be happy to offer my recommendation. For example, the Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret part # RP34FR is designed to replace a Lippert 1621 pin box.
I have attached review video of both the hitch and base rails for you in addition to our Sidewinder pin box help article.
