The Universal 7-WAY Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 will fit your 2005 Chevrolet Colorado. I have a complete step by step install video of the 2005 Chevrolet Colorado attached to show you the process.
A 4-Pole Wiring Harness to control the basic hookup of the three lighting functions running, turn, and brake lights on your trailer # 118301 is recommended. The plug-In location is under the vehicle on the driver's side.
Since you don't already have a 4-Pole Wiring Harness, you need to add this first and then use the # ETBC7 to convert it.
We also have a ball mount kit # 989900 that includes ball mounts, hitch balls, and pin and clip for a Class III. If you need a different weight capacity or need a better custom recommendation, contact me back.
If you need a brake controller # 90195 is recommended.
