Testing Wires of 2007 Ford E-350 Super-Duty for Installing 7-Way

Question:

So Ive tried different harnesses but the one on my van doesnt match any of the plug-n-play harnesses. So Ive decided to splice into the factory harness that dead ends on the spare tire. There are a lot more wires than i need for installing a 7-pin/4 flat receptacle. So do yall have a schematic for factory wiring from the vehicle? i have located the Brown,green,yellow,black. Then the wires im not sure about are Brown with pink stripe, white with green stripe and Blue with yellow stripe. Any suggestions?

We can help you determine what the functions of the wires on your vehicle are for, but we don't have that info by wire color. You'll need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test each of the wires as you apply the different taillight functions to determine what each wire carries. Then you can wire them to the 7-way part # HM40975-11998 and be set. I attached a diagram for the wire colors of the 7-way for you to check out.
