Trailer Hitch Receiver Options for a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox Diesel
Question:
I also have the 2018 Equinox diesel, and I saw your post. Fantastic, thanks. Will the class 2 Draw-tight fit on the diesel as well? In case as of nowfoot has changed. And given that the instillation are virtually the same between the class 2 and the class 3. I am not sure I need all the class 3 capacity given that the diesel is rated for only 1500 lbs due to cooling according to GM.

Thanks for the kind words. We try our best to provide the most helpful resources to our customers. With that being said, the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76217 is still the only trailer hitch receiver we have for the diesel models of a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver tube opening. Generally speaking, when we are recommending hitches and have the choice between a 1-1/4" Class II and a 2" Class III, we almost always choose the 2" Class III. This is because of the both the additional weight capacity and the number of accessories available for a 2" receiver tube in comparison to a 1-1/4" receiver tube.
