Question:
I have a drawtite class I hitch installed on my 2013 Honda Fit. Are there any bike racks that will make it possible to open my trunk without removing the bike or the bike rack?

For your 2013 Honda Fit that is equipped with a Class I Trailer Hitch , I highly recommend the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Platform Rack # KU74FR. This is an excellent, platform-style rack that will hold your bikes by the wheels with no frame contact and is compatible with Class I hitches like what you have. The great thing about this particular rack is its easy-to-use, spring-loaded foot pedal that will let you tilt the rack back, with the bikes still loaded, for easy rear cargo access on the vehicle. I have attached a short video demonstration for this rack on a hatchback similar to yours, so you can see the tilting mechanism at work and the clearance that it provides. This carrier can secure 2 bikes that are up to 40 pounds each.
You could also upgrade your hitch to the Class II EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7286 which has a 2" opening and allows a wider range of bike racks. It also has a weight capacity of 300 pounds, which is 100 pounds more than your class I.
