Troubleshooting Alignment of Gooseneck Coupler with Inner Tube Replacement

Question:

The product I was sent does not line up straight with my trailer. When placing the inner tube into my trailers outer tube the ball part is about 3 inches to the right if Im looking at the front of the trailer. This results in a misalignment when the trailer is hooked up to the truck. What do you suggest right now the product is useless

The B&W Extend-A-Goose Gooseneck Coupler - 10" Offset # BWTEXA4200 should be a straight fit. If your coupler was not installed so the pin was horizontal, then there isn't another adapter that will fit correctly. The misalignment will be an issue with any replacement. I recommend replacing your coupler with the Ram Gooseneck Coupler w/ Load Bearing Pin - 8" Adjustment - Round - 2-5/16" Ball - 25K # GCPN-25008.

Your only other option is drilling a new hole in your current coupler to allow proper fit, but you may reduce the capacity of your coupler in doing so and most likely will void any manufacturer's warranty.
