I spoke with Karavan Trailers regarding your 2005 aluminum boat trailer. I was able to determine that it features a 3,750 pound capacity, but was unable to get any more specific information regarding the axle itself.
In order to locate a replacement axle, you will just need to take a couple measurements on the existing unit. First, measure the distance from the base of one wheel stud to the base of the wheel stud on the opposite side of the axle. This is referred to as the hub-face-to-hub face length. Then, measure from the center of the spring seat on one side of the axle to the center of the spring seat on the other side. You will want a replacement axle to match the dimensions you find.
For example, the Dexter Trailer Axle # 35545E-ST-89 features a 3,500 pound weight capacity, has a hub face length of 89 inches, and a spring center measurement of 74 inches. I have attached a link that will take you to our available selection of trailer axles that you can also look through.
