Anti-Rattle Device for Use with Draw-Tite Hitch 75600
Question:
Hi, I finally had the chance to install the 2inch hitch I purchased from you guys on my 2011 X5 - Item # 75600. Hitch works great. I purchased a used bike rack, which came with this anti-rattle locking hitch pin - Item # SR25219. The hitch pin says it is for a 2inch hitch, which is the hitch size the previous owner of the rack also used, but the pin does not extend far enough out the other side of the hitch such that the lock is able to engage. I confirmed the lock works just fine when I tested it on the pin when not installed in the hitch. Am I missing something on installation? Any help you can send would be great!

Thank you for your recent purchase of 2-inch Draw-Tite hitch # 75600 for your 2011 BMW X5.
The SoftRide Stainless Steel Locking Anti-Rattle Threaded Hitch Pin # SR25219 is designed to be a universal fit on any ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier that has a hollow 2-inch shank. Once the threaded bolt is tightened (which secures the item's shank inside your hitch receiver tube) the lock's center span of 3-1/2-inches should be enough to let you secure the lock portion to it.
If the lock is simply too short you can instead use the Gen-Y Iron Grip Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin for 2" Hitch Receivers - 5/8" Diameter Item # GY39FR.
