Recommendation For A Canoe Carrier That Will Attach To Factory Roof Rack On 2018 Honda CR-V
Question:
I just got a 2018 Honda CR-V with installed roof rails and crossbars. The crossbar width is only 34 inches, while my canoe is 36 inches wide. How do I deal with this?

Since your canoe is too wide for the roof rack on your new 2018 Honda CR-V, I recommend the Swagman Exo Aero Rooftop Carrier System with Tie-Downs, Item # S65145. The carrier is designed to hold 1 kayak or 1 canoe hull-side down and works with most crossbars up to 2-1/2 inches wide. The minimum crossbar spread to accommodate this system is 24 inches. It has a weight capacity of 100-lbs. It also comes with tie-down straps for the front and the rear as well as tie-down straps that secure the canoe to the roof rack.
I have attached a video for you to check out.
