Bumper-Mount RV Hitch for Use with Swagman RV-Rated Hitch Bike Rack S63381
Question:
Looking at the swagman anti rattle threaded hitch pin. How does it prevent theft? Couldnt a person just loosen the bolt on the opposite side of the key lock and then pull it out of the hitch? Also,do you carry the 2inch receiver that tightens onto a travel trailer bumper so we can use the bike rack with 2in rec.

The Swagman Locking Anti-Rattle Threaded Hitch Pin # S64027 provides two functions. It has a threaded shank to match their 2-inch hitch bike racks and that can be tightened to reduce the play or wobble of the rack in the hitch. It also includes a key-operated lock that prevents removal of the threaded pin even if it were loosened with a wrench.
We do offer 2-inch bumper-mount hitches that can allow use of a bike rack on an RV. All such 2-inch hitches are displayed on the linked page. These are made for the most common sizes of RV bumpers, 4 x 2-inch, 4 x 4-inch and 4-1/2 x 4-inch, such as # 337RVA24.
You will want to confirm with the maker of the travel trailer that the bumper has the weight capacity required for the total load of your bike racks and bikes. Usually contacting the maker with the trailer's VIN is the best route.
You also want to ensure that your chosen bike rack is rated for use on the rear of a trailer. Some standard hitch racks made for cars may not be usable on a travel trailer due to the additional motion often found at the back of a trailer. The Swagman Trailhead # S63381 is fine for use on motorhomes and towable campers like yours.
