The Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box # TH629906 will fit the factory crossbars on a 2011 Mercedes E-Class wagon. To determine if there will be any interference with the rear hatch there is a measurement that is needed.
First open the rear hatch. Then, if the crossbars can be moved on your vehicle, move the front crossbar as far forward as it will go. Then measure from the center of the front bar straight back to the nearest part of the hatch. If that distance is greater than 55 inches then there won't be any interference.
