Will Jack-It 2 Bike Rack for A-Frame Trailers # LC429756 Fit A-Frame Trailer

Question:

Does this bike rack work with our trailer, does fit over the power hitch and will I have clearance to get to our propane tanks fairly easy since their right behind the power hitch? I have a strong enough weight distribution hitch already, I can safely add another 100lbs to my tongue and still be 200 lbs under the weight capacity of the weight distribution hitch. I have a 1500 pound rated trailer weight distribution hitch, my current weight without the bike rack added is at 1080lbs, have to include the weight of the hitch as well, past the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I put additional weight in the back of my box of my pickup. Thank you

The Jack-It 2 Bike Rack for A-Frame Trailers # LC429756 that you referenced is designed to fit over standard A-frame jacks and be high enough to fit over propane tanks as well. Since it's hard to know for certain how well it would fit your trailer you'd want to check out the dimension picture I attached and compare it to your trailer to know for sure.

The additional weight of this rack ( 34 lbs) plus the weight of your bikes would get factored as tongue weight.

I love the looks and functionality of this bike rack, however our trailer has a top drive jack, not a front drive jack. Do you have a front drive jack that I can buy to go with this bike rack. We have a 2019 Aliner Scout 12 with the three hole trailer jack mount.

The Jack-It 2 Bike Rack for A-Frame Trailers - 22-1/2" Jack Clearance # LC429756 will work with any sidewind A-frame jack that is under 22-1/2 inches from mounting plate to top. For your 2019 Aliner Scout 12, since you have a fairly light trailer, I recommend the Bulldog # BD155157. This is rated for 2,000 lbs and has a measurement of 13 inches from the mounting plate to the top of the jack. You will also need footplate # BD018564 or wheel # BD500245.
