Weight Distribution Recommendation for 2015 Forest River 425d Camper

can the Tacoma handle the weight with four people safely? do i need a weight distribution hitch? also have installed timbrens

You'd have to compare the weight of your trailer loaded to the weight capacity of your 2012 Toyota Tacoma to be sure. Looks like most likely you'd be at a max of around 3,200 lbs for the 2015 Forest River 425D. Which looks to be right around the capacity of your 2012 Toyota Tacoma. So it would be close.
Any time you are over half the weight capacity of a vehicle it's a good idea to use a weight distribution system. For the weight of your trailer the Reese Strait Line kit part # RP66082 would be a great option as it has a tongue weight range of 200-600 lbs as well.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
