Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring Harness for 2018 Toyota RAV4

For your 2018 Toyota RAV4 I recommend the Curt # C13406 due to how concealed it is after being installed. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver and is a complete bolt-on installation that will not require drilling into the frame of your vehicle. Please keep in mind that this hitch, like any that you install, will limit your use of the hands-free liftgate to areas away from the center of the hitch receiver.

To add a 4-way so you can power your trailer's lights I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118578 which you'll only need to plug in to connection points in your RAV4's trunk and run a hot lead to your battery. If you are going to be towing, I recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which may fulfill your towing needs in one tidy package; two ball mounts - one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop - a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip. You can use the link to the help article on ball mounts I've added to determine if this kit will give you the correct amount of drop or rise.
