It sounds like you not only need longer shank but an adjustable ball mount as well. I recommend the Pro Series, part # 63071. It has two hitch balls; a 2 inch at 10,000 pounds capacity and a 2-5/16 inch at 14,000 pounds so it'll be plenty heavy enough for you. It measures 12-1/16 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the hitch ball and also provides up to 5-7/8 inches of drop.

I've linked a video for you to check out as well.

So you're looking for a replacement shank for your Curt weight distribution system? The Reese shank # RP3215 measures 13-1/2 inches from hitch pin hole to the hitch ball and offers up to 6-3/4 inches of drop on a round bar system like your Curt MV # C17062. If what you need is a longer weight distribution shank that also offers more drop this will work well for you.
